EDWARD MONTOYA is an "AV Preeminent”rated attorney according to and LexisNexis rating of national attorneys. He was born in Queens, N.Y. and has resided in Florida since 1978. Edward attended Florida International University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics in 1987. He received his Juris Doctorate Degree from the Vermont Law School in 1992.  Mr. Montoya was also visiting student at the University of Miami School of Law in1991.

Edward began his professional career at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta-Miami Branch as an analyst in the Checks Department. He was part of a three member Florida team that provided Regulation CC seminars to member banks throughout the state of Florida on a variety of topics including the regulation's new check cashing procedures, cash availability standards and obligations on member banks regarding "float" matters. Prior to attending law school, Edward was promoted to Projects Coordinator and was charged with leading the Accounting Department's PCACH Pilot Program, which was designed to allow the immediate transfer of funds from the Federal Reserve to member banks and transfers from member banks to member banks. 

In 1993, Edward joined a prominent Fort Lauderdale law firm that handled personal injury and wrongful death matters. He later became one of seven partners handling personal injury, product liability and airline disaster for the firm. He also assisted his partners and gained experience in litigating and resolving mass tort cases and other complex personal injury matters. In 1999, Edward opened his own firm and has since handled and resolved a variety of cases including airline disaster cases and major product litigation matters for clients throughout the world. He continues to handled complex personal injury for individual clients and large commercial matters for national and international companies.
